VCE trombone student, Andy Burkitt, from Wanganui Park Secondary College, played the "Hasse Suite" by Adolph Hasse, accompanied by Charlotte Drinnan on the Steinway. This was very smoothly and impressively played by Andy, and a very worthy item for the concert by philip (11th September 14) | VCE singing student, Emily Shields, from Wanganui Park Secondary College sang 3 classical songs, "Die Forelle" (The Trout) by Schubert, "Chi Vuol Comprar" by Jommelli and "O Mistress Mine" (words by Shakespeare). Lea D'Augello played a flute solo, "Danse de la Chevre" by Arthur Honegger. She told her interpretation of the goat's dance to the audience, which made for a more enjoyable and appreciative performance by philip (11th September 14) | Cindy Abbey and Rachel Keen, accompanied by Charlotte Drinnan, played "Rigoletto Fantasie" by Franz and Karl Doppler - a beautiful flute duet with a medley of tunes from the opera by philip (11th September 14) |
The Champagne Flutes (Cindy Abbey, Rachel Keen, Lea D'Augello, Vicki Prewett) played "Romance and Minuet" from Eine Kleine Nacht Musik by Mozart and William Tell Overture by Rossini by philip (11th September 14) | Bruce Sterling, Ella Bicknell and Emma King played Franz Schubert's Piano Trio in B Flat Major by philip (11th September 14) |
